Supply sequence control is the scientific discipline of integrating the physical production environment with strategies to ensure good, consistent and timely source of raw materials, finished goods and services to fulfill the needs of customers. Source chain devices are built throughout the decisions made by producers and distributors of goods. A source system is identified as a sequence of operations that ensures that products are given from the level of source to the level of use. It includes all the levels of the supply process — from finding, production, vehicles and storage area.

There are four phases of the source chain: finding, manufacturing, transport and storage space. In source chain, products are extracted from suppliers and converted into done products. The moment sourcing, it is the first stage of the supply process where suppliers collect all the essential information about the clients and the suppliers they want to assist. After sourcing, manufacturers create and move the goods, while distributors store items and deliver them to the completed users.

Every single stage inside the supply string has its own particular functions and roles. The processing stage is the central part of the program where producers make and produce items to be supplied to sellers. Good companies will be those who care for the quality criteria of the items they generate. On the other hand, vendors are individuals who will take delivery of the items to the end users. And lastly, safe-keeping and distribution are the other parts of the supply system where manufacturers and distributors to maintain the goods with regards to end-users and make sure they are be well protected once they are received.
